Evel Knievel and His Motorcycles

Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel generally known as Evil Knievel is a famous American motorcycle professional who is worldwide popular for his ultimate stunts and art of driving motorbikes. Since the late 1960s he has been popular especially in the United States for his crazy motorbike stunts that can leave any person in thrills.

Known for his first televised jump in 1974 which was an attempt to cover Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho, it was regarded as one of the top 20 most watched ABC's Wide World of Sports events of all time. Though he many times faced failures - but all in all - he got himself named among the Guinness Book of World Records several times. Among all these records he has got himself many times injured too where he has made a record of his injury too i.e. 40 broken bones during a stunt. But this shows his courage and love for his motorbikes to which he has dedicated his entire life.  

Evel Knievel is also known “Daredevil” due to his passionate and amazing daredevil art of motorbike racing and driving. Later on owing to his fame he was also parodied as Super Dave Osborne which was inspired character on him. Born in Butte, Montana; Knievel was seen most of the time troubled in this place and was even imprisoned for and crashed his bike in 1956. Before that at the age of eight, Knievel attended a Joie Chit wood Auto Daredevil Show, which he credited for his later career choice to become a motorcycle daredevil.

Knievel’s life was full of crime too where many a times he got jailed and busted by the police due to his crazy motorbike driving. Later on when he decided to make his career and help out his family somehow he went on continuing a same show like he did in childhood arranging all on his own. He jumped over a 20-foot-long box of rattlesnakes and two mountain lions in which after bit difficulty he somehow managed to land safely.

By the time he developed his shows and art with help of performers, stunt coordinators and other personnel and thus hot a sponsor and performed shows like Evel Knievel and His Motorcycle Daredevil. He after that has claimed many achievements like- Caesars Palace, Snake River Canyon and Later daredevil career.

Evel later on came to end up with many problems like Bankruptcy, tax-evasion, and arrest for Solicitation, firearms violation but finally managed to get inducted in Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
